Assistant Under-secretary for Administrative & Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Justice "MOJ" Abdel Aziz Al-Majed stated that MOJ currently works on laying out new mechanism to optimize the e-payment services including a collection of sums of fines for which judicial verdicts have been issued.
Upon the recommendations, he added, of the teamwork established at MOJ for this purpose and the approval of Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs, Minister of Justice, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Justice Rashid Al-Hammad MOJ addressed the governmental entities in order to coordinate with them to set a mechanism guarantees the enforcement of law and collection of such fines taking into consideration to facilitate the procedures of collection in particular for those entities directly connected with MOJ's information network so that they can follow up any relevant judicial judgments.
He explained that launching the e-payment of fines by MOJ comes as a completion to the MOJ's plan to optimize all e-payment services rendered by MOJ via its website.
Moreover, this concerned e-service comes as an addition to the e-payment of alimonies, confirmed by judicial judgments, that has been launched by MOJ as of the beginning of Dec. last year and which has been received locally and abroad with response and interaction as it saves time and effort.
Further, he pointed out that the e-payment service is considered a substantial change in the methods of rendering services and expanding their use reflects the frameworks of cooperation and coordination between MOJ and the Central Agency for Information Technology within the framework of the latter's supervision of implementing Kuwait Government Online.
Undoubtedly, this newly-transformed system will make a qualitative move concerning all services rendered by MOJ and also the interaction with these services by both citizens and residents is a factor that encourages to go ahead to improve and develop performance of various electronic services, he added. Furthermore, he affirmed that the services of paying alimonies and fines and any other services MOJ may render prospectively are made continuously day and night and any citizen or resident and all State sectors can electronically pay them from anywhere via MOJ's website www.moj.gov.kw noting that these e-services aim to facilitate any transactions of both citizens and residents.
Meanwhile, he added, MOJ laid out action plan aiming to optimize a policy of cooperation and communication with the governmental entities which will be implemented by the teamwork participating in making recommendations for the matter of fines so that MOJ can directly and continuously communicate with all these entities to collect any sums of money owing to the General Treasury pursuant to any penalties of fines against those violators of law as well as to embody the concept of the authenticity and reverence of judicial judgments when being enforceable.
